If you have a US startup call X and you don’t have the X.com, you should probably change your name. - Paul Graham (Essays)
Up until now, we’ve been known as Onedoc. Although we loved the name, we were unable to secure the .com domain or the trademark. We’ve been working on a new name for a while now, and we’re excited to announce that we’re rebranding to Fileforge.
Fileforge: A new name for a new chapter
We took the opportunity to rethink our brand identity and make sure it reflects our commitment to becoming the #1 API for document workflows. We believe Fileforge is a name that will resonate with our customers and partners, and we’re excited to see where this new chapter takes us.
When we started working on Onedoc, we were tackling a single problem: making document generation simpler and more efficient. But as we’ve grown, we’ve come to realize that our vision expands far beyond that scope. We want to help businesses of all sizes manage their documents more effectively, from creation to manipulation, hosting and more.
What can you expect from Fileforge?
As we now extend our offering horizontally, we’re committed to providing the same level of service and quality that you’ve come to expect from us. Our team is working hard to make sure the transition to Fileforge is as smooth as possible for our customers, and we’re excited to share some of the new features and improvements we have in store. Here is a non exaustive list of what you can expect from Fileforge:
- Faster document generation: We’re making improvements to our infrastructure to make document generation even faster and more reliable.
- New API endpoints: We’re adding new endpoints to our API to make it even easier to integrate Fileforge into your existing workflows.
- Improved documentation: We’re updating our documentation to make it more comprehensive and developer-friendly.
- New SDKs: We’re releasing new SDKs for popular programming languages to make it even easier to get started with Fileforge.
- More integrations: We’re working on new integrations with popular tools and services to help you get even more out of Fileforge.
- Compliance and security: We’re always working to ensure that your data is safe and secure, and we’re adding new features to help you comply with regulations like GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2 Type I and II.
- New pricing plans: We’re introducing new pricing plans to make it easier for businesses of all sizes to get started with Fileforge.
- New PDFs operations: We’re adding new operations to our API to make it easier to manipulate PDFs, including merging, form manipulation, format conversion and more.
What does this mean for our customers?
If you’re an existing Onedoc customer, there is no need for action on your part. Your account will automatically be transferred to Fileforge, and you’ll continue to have access to all the features and services you’re already familiar with. We’ll be in touch with more information about the transition in the coming weeks, so keep an eye on your inbox.
